Developing partnerships

The Church of Scotland HIV Programme (formerly known as the "HIV/AIDS Project") works in close co-operation with church-based and other agencies in Sub-Saharan Africa, the Indian Subcontinent, the Middle East and Scotland. Its work covers a broad range of action from home-based care and advocacy to peer education and microcredit schemes, such as the Zambian craft-workers' initiative pictured here.

Souper Sunday provides a perfect in-road for your congregation to join this growing partnership. You are encouraged to use the Souper Sunday order of service, adapting it to your particular local needs. Then, after morning worship, hold a simple lunch of soup and bread in your church hall or, if more appropriate, in members' homes.
