Souper Sunday has been endorsed by The General Assembly of the Church of Scotland as a time when congregations might choose to hold elder-led acts of worship, followed by a simple lunch of soup and bread. As a result of the day it is hoped that church members will become more aware of the many issues surrounding HIV. Also, Souper Sunday offers a brilliant opportunity to raise much needed funds for a wide range of HIV initiatives at home and overseas.
